“The Insight Day was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, a skillful and meaningful communication, accessible to both expert and novice alike. Above all, it gave us a rich musical insight into the forthcoming concert.”— Peter, Oxford
Whether you are new to the Choral Pilgrimage repertoire or want to expand your existing knowledge, our Insight Days provide a fascinating exploration into the stories behind the music.
In 2017 we explored music from two composers who are believed to represent the very pinnacle of classical music: Palestrina & Poulenc. Talks and debates were led by singer and practical scholar Sally Dunkley and musicologist John Milsom. Musical examples were also presented through an intimate performance by a consort of Sixteen singers.
Next Insight Day: Wednesday 11 July 2018

The next Insight Day will examine music from this year’s Choral Pilgrimage tour Sacred and Profane, with music by Benjamin Britten and William Cornysh. Tickets are £25 and are on sale now. Tickets for this event can only be booked via the National Centre for Early Music:
