A Golden Age: Edinburgh

15 August 2019 11am The Queen's Hall Tickets: £11 - £35(Booking Fees Apply)

This dynamic programme of Italian and Portuguese Baroque music is at times reflective, at times uplifting and always inspired. Rebelo’s sumptuous setting of Panis Angelicus is almost opulent while Melgas’ Lamentations are prayerful and imbued with a sense of hope. There is no doubt, however, that the tour de force is Scarlatti’s virtuosic setting of the Stabat Mater.
