Part of Brucknerfest, this concert features works by the supposed antipodes Anton Bruckner and Johannes Brahms, which go back to the beginning of their compositional work. They are combined with pieces by Samuel Sebastian Wesley, who was considered the best organist in England in the mid-19th century.
