Our Choral Workshops are led by The Sixteen’s associate conductor and bass Eamonn Dougan and singer and practical scholar Sally Dunkley. Local singing enthusiasts are treated to a session of vocal coaching including advice on breathing technique, invigorating warm-ups, voice production and insights into the historical context of the Choral Pilgrimage music.
In 2018, the music that will be explored in the workshops are:
Britten Hymn to the Virgin
Cornysh Salve Regina (excerpts)
Britten ‘Carol’ from Sacred and Profane (4 hr workshops only)
