The Choral Pilgrimage 2021: Peterborough Matinee

3 July 2021 3:30pm Peterborough Cathedral Tickets: £13 - 28(Booking Fees Apply)

A city which has inspired countless pilgrimages, Rome, and in particular the Sistine Chapel, was where each of the four composers in our 2021 Choral Pilgrimage: The Call of Rome programme created some of their finest work. Victoria’s monumental Responsories for Holy Saturday frame a powerful programme of music for Holy Week and Marian devotion by Josquin, Felice Anerio and Allegri, culminating in Allegri’s eternal Miserere.
