Join accredited vocal health coach and Sixteen soprano, Charlotte Mobbs, and coach and Sixteen tenor, Simon Berridge for a workshop to rejuvenate your voice and experience the joy of singing together again.
The session will be a rare and rewarding opportunity for keen amateur singers to explore a variety of music inspired by The Sixteen’s own performances. Under the guidance of Charlotte Mobbs, the session will begin with an extensive vocal health check-up, followed by a singing discovery session led by Simon Berridge who will, ahead of our evening performance of the Coronation Anthems, use music by Handel as inspiration, as well as repertoire by Britten and Ramsey. The session will include advice on vocal technique, as well as performance interpretation, and historical context.
Ramsey Almighty and Everlasting God (SSATB)
Handel ‘Let Justice and Judgement and Allelujah’ from Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened
Handel Zadok the Priest
Music will be available to download here in the coming days.
