Imogen Seth-Smith

What is your favourite Sixteen anecdote?
On tour in Brazil when Laurence C overslept and ended up creeping through the orchestra during the concert in Brazilia.

What do you do to relax in your spare time?
What spare time? Given the chance I would love to read a book, go for a walk and spend time with friends.

If you could perform in any venue, what / where would it be?
Sistine chapel

Is there a piece you have fallen in love with since performing it with The Sixteen?
Handel’s Israel in Egypt. I studied for A level but didn’t particularly like it, I now love it. Messiah should never be performed by anyone else!

What has been the most challenging piece of music you have ever performed?
Not with The Sixteen, but it was Berlioz’s Romeo and Juliet. I would love to have another go at it now as I think I might be less scared.

Do you have a party trick and if so, what is it?!
Sadly not although I beat my family hands down at flicking beer mats (very surprising).

Who were you, or would you be nervous to meet?
Anyone who is eminent in their field and gives off the aura of being so.

What would your ultimate desert island disc be?
Monteverdi’S Vespers.

What would you eat for your last supper?
Devon Crab bought from the fish shop on the beach at Beer, eaten in the sun on the beach there with my husband and daughter and washed down with a bottle of cold champagne!
