Refund and Exchange Policy

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place a refund (booking fee excluded) will be provided.
Only tickets purchased by the Box Office or approved agents are valid for admission. Tickets sold via third parties and other unauthorised outlets, including online auction sites, are not valid for admission. Reselling a ticket makes it void and the ticketholder may be refused entry.
Some performances may have specific conditions of sale. These will be listed on the event pages for that event on this site and it is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check this before they purchase tickets.
Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person for certain events.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to some of the most often asked questions to help you plan your visit.
What is it like to visit a church or cathedral? What should I expect?
Firstly, you don’t have to be religious to visit. People of all religious beliefs are actively encouraged to come and soak up the atmosphere of these wonderful buildings. We perform in cathedrals and churches because the architecture allows the sound of the human voice to be heard at its absolute best.
As many of these buildings are large and rather old they can be a little chilly, especially in the winter. We advise bringing an extra layer just in case, to maximise your comfort. We also realise that some people may find sitting in wooden pews for an extended period a little uncomfortable. We are more than happy for you to bring your own small cushion for extra comfort.
What time should I arrive?
As there are often services taking place in the venues we visit, we ask that you arrive no earlier than half an hour before the concert starts. If it is raining outside, we will do our best to let you in as early as we can, but we can’t guarantee entry earlier than half an hour before.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code for any of our performances. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Cathedrals and churches can sometimes be a little chilly, especially in the winter, so bringing an extra layer is advisable to maximise comfort.
Can I photograph or film the performance?
Cameras, video recorders, or indeed any audio or visual recording devices are strictly prohibited. Please ensure all mobile phones and electronic equipment are switched off during the performance.
What happens if I’m late?
Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable break in the performance. This can vary from concert to concert.
I have access requirements, how can you help?
Our staff are on hand to make your visit as smooth as possible.
For all our performances we have stewards and box office staff who are on hand to provide additional assistance if you have access needs. Just ask a member of staff when you arrive or contact the Box Office beforehand to let us know how we can help you have the best experience possible. We also recommend looking at the venue website as details on available facilities will be listed here.
Is there an interval?
The majority of our concerts have a 15 or 20 minute interval. You can find information about interval length for specific performances on the individual event page.
Do you serve refreshments?
As we perform in many different venues across the UK, refreshment availability differs from performance to performance. The Sixteen is unable to provide refreshments but some venues may choose to do so. You are welcome to bring your own water bottles, as there may not always be access to a water supply.
What does restricted view mean?
Cathedrals and churches are often architecturally beautiful places to perform in, with many having numerous pillars and columns that can affect sightlines. We offer restricted view tickets at a lower price, and these will be indicated on the seating plan and also on your ticket.
Are there toilets?
There will always be toilet facilities available at the venues we perform in. However, facilities may differ from performance to performance. To find out exactly what facilities are available at each venue we advise visiting the website of the venue directly. You can find a link to the venue website on the event page of the concert you are booking for.
