Amanda MacLeod

Education and Outreach Manager

Amanda joined The Sixteen, on a part-time basis, in April 2018 after reading music at The University of Edinburgh and having worked on a freelance basis for a number of years in Scotland with organisations such as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Ludus Baroque and the National Youth Choir of Scotland. With a keen interest in music education and festival management, alongside her work at The Sixteen, Amanda is Festival Manager of St Andrews Voices, Scotland’s only festival dedicated to the voice, and the Aberdeen International Festival of Youth Arts (previously the Aberdeen International Youth Festival).

When Amanda isn’t single handily keeping LNER afloat; she enjoys long walks in the countryside and exploring new countries; be it for work or travel – next stop Nepal to trek in the Himalaya and then a return to West Africa for a community music project!
