A choral extravaganza featuring performances from some of London's most vibrant youth choirs.

Come and be wowed by some of London’s most vibrant youth choirs as primary school children from across the Capital join together in an afternoon of song. Featuring individual performances from choirs including Highbury Youth Choir Junior Choir, Hackney Choral Children’s Choir, Wievenhoe Youth Choir, Music Centre London Choir and Blackheath Halls Junior Choir, this collection of tomorrow’s voices will culminate in a joint performance of a piece written specially for children’s choir and eight professional singers. Throughout the workshop, participants will be joined by an octet of singers from The Sixteen, and conducted by Genesis Sixteen conducting scholar Olivia Shotton.

Arrive a little earlier, grab some food or a coffee and wander around the central London oasis of St James’s Piccadilly courtyard, with the beautiful sounds of our pop-up choirs serenading you as you go.

This workshop is part of Sounds Sublime Choral Festival, a special annual event curated by The Sixteen, showcasing the passion, joy and diversity of the human voice. The festival celebrates the journey of young voices, from under 5’s and their very first experiences of singing, to the extraordinary talent and passion of our current Genesis Sixteen choir.
