Join acclaimed vocal collective SANSARA for a varied programme showcasing highlights from their distinctive projects and recordings.
SANSARA is a vocal collective making choral music that matters, giving voice to powerful human stories. By drawing on the unrivalled expressive potential of the human voice, they connect new audiences with timeless music and offer unique opportunities for reflection and renewal. Whether commissioning new music that brings refugee communities together or using ensemble singing to support the journey through bereavement, they believe in the transformative power of choral music to make meaningful connections in people’s lives.
This concert will feature a reflective sequence of works by Marco Galvani from the group’s Invisible Cities album, followed by a selection of pieces from the choir’s latest release Traces, which was recently selected as Gramophone Magazine’s Editor’s Choice. They will also perform recent commissions by Rebecca Dale and Natalia Tsupryk in collaboration with members of Genesis Sixteen.
This performance is part of Sounds Sublime, a special one-day choral festival curated by The Sixteen, celebrating the passion, joy and diversity of the human voice.
