Choral Workshops
In 2026, four Choral Workshops for Wellbeing will accompany The Sixteen’s Choral Pilgrimage tour. Under the expert guidance of The Sixteen’s associate conductor Eamonn Dougan, and Sixteen sopranos Julie Cooper and Charlotte Mobbs, these unique choral workshop combine the art of singing with the science of vocal and nutritional health.

Joyful Tunes & Timeless Memories
These singing workshops are tailored specifically for adults in care homes or those with a dementia diagnosis, and are designed to bring joy, connection, and a sense of well-being through the power of music.
In these workshops, participants will:
• Enjoy familiar songs from various eras, evoking happy memories and emotional connections
• Participate in vocal exercises and breathing techniques promoting relaxation and vocal health
• Engage in group singing activities that foster a sense of community and shared enjoyment
• Experience the cognitive and emotional benefits of music, including improved mood and increased social interaction
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is valued and celebrated
• Enjoy performances from a quartet of professional singers
Voices of Hope
A series of workshops designed to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals who have experienced or are experiencing homelessness, and those who have been displaced. These sessions offer an opportunity for individuals to express themselves, build confidence and resilience, and find joy through the power of music.
In these workshops, participants will:
• Explore simple breathing and vocal exercises that help reduce stress and anxiety
• Sing uplifting songs that foster hope, unity, and a sense of belonging
• Build confidence and self-esteem through individual and group singing
• Experience the joy of music as a tool for emotional expression and mental wellbeing
• Connect with others in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment that encourages collaboration and mutual support
• Enjoy performances from a quartet of professional singers
