This programme places Dowland’s music alongside that of his contemporaries. Evoking how listeners might have originally heard it in the intimate surroundings of Hatfield House, The Sixteen and leading viol consort Fretwork perform works by Morley, Hume, Byrd, Lawes, Dowland and Coprario as part of the Hatfield House Music Festival.
