When and where was your first experience of music / singing?
My first encounter with music and singing was through my brother, who was a chorister at St Paul’s Cathedral. Initially, I considered attending his services and concerts a chore, but over time, this exposure ignited my deep love for choral music. This experience laid the foundation for my passion for singing.
Where did you grow up? Did you have access to classical music?
I grew up in North London, which is still home to me. Classical music was a significant part of my upbringing, primarily through regular piano lessons that I attended diligently. These lessons instilled in me a profound appreciation for classical music from an early age.
Outside of singing, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I am an avid hockey and squash player. I enjoy playing at my local clubs and also at university. These sports provide a great balance to my musical activities and keep me physically active and engaged.
Are you still in education?
I am currently pursuing a degree in Economics with Philosophy at Warwick University.
