When and where was your first experience of music / singing?

I first started singing in my local Church, St. Monica’s in Palmers Green. I was too young to join the choir but loved to sing so my Mum joined so that I could sit and sing with her!

What are you looking forward to with Genesis Sixteen?

I am very excited to be joining likeminded people who have the same passion for music and singing as me and connecting with them to share our love for the art together. The programme sounds like such a wonderful adventure, and I can’t wait to learn not only from our mentors but also the other participants which I am sure will become best friends along the way!

Outside of singing, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I have been a scout since I was young and have been involved with them all the way up to becoming a leader! I love adventures and exploring the outdoors with friends. I was even lucky enough to visit the Himalayas with my troop which was an adventure of a lifetime!

I also work as part of the front of house team at The Coliseum. I am very lucky as this means I get to watch a range of opera, musical theatre and ballet shows and performances! [At the time of writing] the production is “Kinky Boots” so I know all the words and dances off by heart now! But I will have to say Carmen with Niamh O’Sullivan was my absolute favourite as this would be an absolute dream role for me!

Are you still in education? Are you in any other young artists schemes?

I am currently in my fourth year of my BMus vocal studies at Trinity Laban. Next year I am going to St. Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales to become an alto scholar. But I plan on applying for more young artist schemes in the future.

Outside of performances with Genesis Sixteen, have you got any concerts coming up?

I am performing in the Summer Opera at Trinity Laban, “L’Enfant et les Sortilèges” by Ravel, which will be shown at Blackheath Halls at the beginning of July [2026].
