The Sixteen choir & orchestra along with a stellar cast of soloists, perform Bach's masterpiece as part of the 2022 Lausitz Festival.

Written for the royal court in Dresden to obtain the prestigious title of royal Saxon court kapellmeister, and completed on his deathbed, Bach’s Mass in B minor was considered by many to be the ‘greatest musical work of art of all time.’

Moments of meditative immersion alternate with sections of expressive intensity, displaying all the ingredients that contribute his supreme ranking amongst his peers of any age, and demonstrating the breadth of compositional skills amassed during his lifetime.
