When and where was your first experience of music / singing?

Probably school plays and Christmas shows at my local nursery and primary school. I believe my all-singing, all-dancing rendition of When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney became a fan favourite!

Where did you grow up? Did you have access to classical music?

Growing up in a rural village in the North West of England, opportunities to experience music, particularly classical music, were relatively scarce. However, my love of singing opened the door to discovering classical music during secondary school, and it has remained an important part of my life ever since.

What has been your most memorable performance so far?

One of my most memorable performances to date was the Re-Imagined concert at Temple Church with the Temple Singers, conducted by Thomas Allery. It was an exhilarating experience to sing a fantastic array of music alongside some truly inspiring colleagues.

What are you looking forward to with Genesis Sixteen?

I am looking forward to meeting and singing with people from all over the country. I also cannot wait for the coaching, guidance, and for all that the course has to offer!

Outside of singing, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I occasionally bake focaccia. Whilst I was at university, I worked as a baker and barista, so I try to keep these skills up. I am also an occasional runner and reader. At the moment, I am halfway through Middlemarch by George Eliot.
