George is a composer and pianist with a particular interest in choral music and music for theatre. Having studying at the University of Manchester and the Royal Academy of Music, George has worked with ensembles such as the Riot Ensemble, VOCES8, ORA Singers, and Inchant, and has had his work performed across the country at festivals such as The Leeds Lieder Festival, JAM on the Marsh, and Tête-à-Tête: The Opera Festival. With a love for the early 20th century impressionists, musical theatre, and an up bringing as a chorister at Southwell Minster, George enjoys drawing from a number of musical influences to create a sound and style of composition with storytelling at its heart.
When not hunched over the piano, George enjoys reading, art exhibitions, an iced latte, and playing tennis. George is very excited to be joining the Sixteen’s team and looks forward to working with the choir that inspired him to start his musical journey.
